How it is calculated
The calculator sums every line item to produce your total annual operating budget. Dividing that total by your number of units, and then by 12, gives the per-unit monthly cost that operations alone add to dues.
Each category bar shows that line item as a share of the total budget, sorted from largest to smallest, so the biggest cost drivers are easy to spot. Reserve contributions are handled separately; use the reserve funding calculator to add them on top.
